THE REAL CHRISTIAN LIFE
A lot of Christians are yet to experience the real Christian life...Why? 'cos so many of them haven't still gotten a hold of what that life really means.
Realms of life
We are taught that man is tripartite, ie. three-in-one being made of spirit (real self), soul (mind) and body(container). Gone are those days when we lived in the realm of the body (where u must be physically strong for u to be a master), but down through the ages, as civilization and knowledge (mental/scientific) spread, we entered into the realm of the mind, and up to this date, a lot live in that realm. But where many people are refusing to dwell in & what we have not been taught properly is the realm of the spirit (the highest life) and how things work in there.
Connection btn these realms
Now, look at this pattern; the way to the mind is through the body (Rev.1:3 says "Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear and keep what is written in it"). How can u read or hear to enter the mind if the senses of the body is destroyed?........and the way to the spirit is through the mind (the reason Rom. 12:2 says that, be transformed by renewing your mind).....but why this pattern? To understand that all the three- part are necessary to help us operate effectively on earth, but the mind is higher than the body, and the spirit, the highest.
The challenge
This is the challenge; the realm of the spirit is a different life all together, different from the mind & body realms....Guess what? That's where Papa GOD lives and operates from....somebody says, "How do know"? Well, look at this scripture;
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:24)
When u live there, your perception about things changes for u see things the way GOD sees them; u no longer see things as u imagine them to be (imagination is in the realm of the mind) but u see things as they really are; u see (revelation) and know (spiritual knowledge) the truth, so that what is real to u is not what is real to the one living in the realm of the mind. It therefore becomes very difficult to relate with those in the lower realms (mind & body).
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corin. 2:14)
But the ease is that, u understand their confusion 'cos u have been there where they are (for u journeyed through the realm of your mind before u entered the spirit).
Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others (1 Corin. 2:15)
Another fact is that, not all those who live in the spirit live by the spirit ( ie. operate form the spirit) but they choose to operate from the lower realms; the reason for so many Christians living carnally.
This I say then, live by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Gal. 5:16)
What is the point? What I'm trying to say is that no matter how hard u try to explain things of the spirit to the one living in the realm of the mind or body, he/she can never understand unless he is transported into the spiritual realm.
Christianity; A spiritual Life
Christianity is not one of the religions in the world (I'm sorry if u have been wrongly taught); it is not a religion at all. The real Christian life is spiritual and why am I saying this?
We all agree that God is a Spirit (The Great Unseen); the reason for us being created as spirit beings for without that, we cannot fulfil the part of scripture which says, "They that worship the Father must worship Him in spirit"…….meaning, the only way a spirit being can relate with another Spirit Being (God) is by a spiritual way. But the unfortunate thing is that we grow up being taught that we are physical beings (of the body) and that we have minds (soul) which must get enough knowledge (mental knowledge) to live a higher life, with little or no emphasis on our spirits (our real selves). So we grow up in our societies, living in the realm of the mind and that makes it difficult to share the things of the spirit (things of God), and not only that, but we also live in a society which largely asserts that "that which cannot be shared cannot be real"
We, therefore, find a way (a system) to make it possible to share that which cannot be shared to the natural man, in order to make it logic (seem to be real) & as such, get a level of acceptance. Why? ‘cos the natural man can only accept what he understands in his mind.... Thus was religion (a legalized system) born....the reason for so many doctrines & interpretations of the Bible resulting in so many different churches. Thus, has it come to stay, forgetting that religion was a way we used to help the natural man understand & accept God (but not the real way to God), making it difficult to be gotten rid of. Why? ,cos we started with it and has become part of us.
So, u see? Religion is in the realm of the mind for it was just a way we sought to form a shared experience out of an experience that couldn’t have been shared in any way to help the mind of the natural man understand & for that matter, accept God. For that was the only way to God then (remember: the way to the spirit is through the journey of the mind).
Then comes salvation for when a person receives Jesus (God, made man), he first relates with God personally for the first time and, therefore, is transported to the spirit realm where he can now live & operate in there. This is where faith comes in, for faith is the door that makes him enter and, that same faith, sustains him.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is....(Heb. 11:6)
For we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corin. 5:7)
This is when a person comes to know (revelation) the real truth ‘cos he now deals with God (the source of all truth) directly; he then comes to know Who God Is, who he really is, who others really are & what everything in this world really is; he simply comes to know the reality of everything and, in that realm, he can now say “It has been revealed to me…..”. This is what was meant to be; for this is what spiritual growth is all about
But u see, we started with religion (a legalized system of knowing God), which is in the mind realm & we were initially made to believe that that was the truth about God (which is not really the truth), so we have found it a hard thing accepting the new truth (revelation) now. But look at this; Revelation, which means, something that was hidden has now been revealed, and u’ll see that the truth was kept in secret but it is now exposed (other than that it wouldn’t have been called revelation).
This is what we’ve not been able to accept for we always want to hear the truth as we used to understand it (in the mind realm). We think we already know the truth; we think we already understand how it is, so we reject any new knowledge (spiritual) that fall outside the paradigm of our understanding though we claim we want to know more of God......and this is our greatest barrier to spiritual growth....oh!! how pity
Has religion not taught us how God’s love is conditional (not directly but indirectly); for they say that God is loving, and also put it in this way; but if u break his commandments, He will punish u & send u to hell. Why won’t Religion say that when that is what we’ve experienced in our society. For have u not even experienced that with your parents (the people who love u the most) when they are OK with u as long as u do things right, and become angry when u do wrong. So why won’t Religion project “the love the see in the society” onto God and thus come up with a God who judges and rewards or punishes based on how good He feels about what u’ve been up to…..but all these are in the realm of the mind to help the natural man; it has nothing to do with who God really is.
When I saw Christianity from a different perspective, look at what it taught me;
First, it is true that God is love, and his love is unconditional; meaning that no matter what u do, whether good or bad, His love for u doesn’t change.
But I know someone will ask, “Then why does He punish or even send people to hell?”
OK, the actual truth is He doesn’t punish or send anybody to hell….u just face the consequences of your actions.
Someone might also ask, “How?”
Right, look at this scenario; if u want to play some games, the best thing your father can do is to help u know those games which are safer to play & the ones which are not (for it won’t be the best for your father to restrict u of your freedom), and then, he will recommend u to play the safer ones. Now, if u go out there & decide to play those games which are not safe & u get hurt, would u blame your dad for getting hurt? Well, I don’t know your answer but I guess u have to blame yourself…u just faced the consequence of your own action.
The same applies to God; He has given us our own free will to decide for ourselves what we want to do (for to restrict us of our will, will be to terminate the very purpose of our existence). He shows us the way to life & that of death, things we are to do & things we ought not to.....so, as to whether or not we do this or that is up to us, it’s a choice & we will just get the result of it. God, therefore, shouldn’t be blamed for the consequences of our choices…He must be left alone....He sets the rules, we make the choices, we get the consequences.
But another question comes into play, “If we claim God has given us our own free will, why the rules ‘cos it’s a form of restriction?”
Well, that’s what Religion says but in reality, God doesn’t set rules....the actual reason God doesn’t want u to do something isn’t just ‘cos He doesn’t wants u to do it, but He knows the consequence of that action will not be a good one for u. In other words, the reason He doesn’t want u to go there is ‘cos He doesn’t want to see u suffer….so what seems to be a rule or a command is actuality a guideline. When your father showed u the safer games & the dangerous games to play and recommended u chose the safer ones, was he restricting u? No, he was guiding u.
So does that mean u can do whatever u want? A big yes, as long as u want to do it, but remember, it’s your choice and u will definitely get the consequence. Life is full of choices; salvation is a choice; heaven is a choice; hell is also a choice (God doesn’t send anyone to hell…it’s a matter of your own choice).
So we see why the Bible says the Christian life is so magnificent but we don’t experience the magnificence of it; the joy, the love, the peace, the freedom, the beauty, the glory, the power, etc….. ‘Cos we’ve seen it as a religion
Our salvation in Christ will really mean a lot more to us if we come out of our illusion and let the Holy Spirit teach us who God really is (spirit realm) and not what we’ve imagined Him to be (mental realm). Someone said, “In order to know God, u must be out of your mind” and I agree with him. Religion doesn’t do a very good job……It’s just an attempt to speak what is unspeakable & to teach what is unteachable.
So as u through life, God will speak to u in a hundred forms, at a thousand moments, using different vessels and u cannot not understand if u truly listen.
PEACE!!!!!!
