Does God give marriage partners ?

In this current era where divorce is on the increase, should one pray for God to choose a marriage partner for him or her? What do you think?

  1. Before we were formed in the womb of our mothers, He knew us & wrote all the days ordained for our lives in His book before each of them came to be (Ps. 139:16)

I believe one needs not to be so much concerned about his/her marriage partner when we are in the arena of God's plan for our lives.I believe God has destined all of us to meet our partners at particular stages of life; that is, a particular place,at a specific time, on an actual occasion.

Better still, since we are in partnership with God, we can pray for specific qualities that we want to see in our partners. This is where our prayer must be directed to but for us to get the right person for our lives, we must concentrate on what God wants us to do so He can also cater 4 the things that we so much desire.

It's unfortunate that so many Christians have left what God wants them to do & sought for partners themselves only to find bitterness and heartbreaks in life. Relationshps which God created himself for it to be enjoyed & celebrated have now turned into an objects of fear, doubts, disappointments, deceits, etc just 'cos we are not seeking God first before all these.

For a lot of people, esp. the ladies (sorry ladies, but it's the truth), when it comes to relationships, God is put aside; all they think of is their partners.....how to make them happy, how to sustain the relatioship, how to reach them all the time.....

Remember folks, God says He needs all our minds(thoughts), all our hearts(feelings & will) and all our strength...not part of them but all.(Matt 22:37).

Again, He says that we should not worry about anything in life 'cos He knows our needs.....all we have to do is to seek him with everything we've got & give thanks to him no matter the situation so that at the appointed time, He will fill u with laughter (Matt.6:31-34)....rem'ber that patience is in your spirit so live it out.

NEVER BLAME GOD FOR THE CHOICES U MAKE
MAY GOD KEEP ALL OF US.
    PEACE!!!
